New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE) inaugurated its pavilion at the Mahakumbh-2025 in Prayagraj Wednesday. Themed “Divine, Grand, and Digital,” the pavilion showcases the ministry’s commitment to integrating technology with traditional values while promoting its flagship social welfare schemes, a PIB release stated.

Amit Yadav, secretary of the MSJE, inaugurated the pavilion at Nag Vasuki, Sector 7, Kailashpuri Marg (Pashchimi Patri). The event included a lamp-lighting ceremony and was attended by senior officials, including Amit Kumar Ghosh, additional secretary, and Rajan Sehgal, chairman and managing director of NSFDC and NBCFDC, affiliated corporations under the ministry. During the inauguration, Yadav and other officials interacted with beneficiaries of the ministry’s programs to understand their challenges, benefits, and experiences.

The pavilion highlights several key schemes, including the Vanchit Ikai Samooh aur Vargon ki Aarthik Sahayata Yojana (VISVAS), which provides financial aid to marginalized groups, and the PM-Daksh Yojana, which focuses on skill development for these communities. Other initiatives, such as the Senior Citizen Welfare Scheme, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, and the NAMASTE Scheme, are also being promoted. Artisans aided by ministry schemes recounted how initiatives like the TULIP Brand positively impacted them.
