Chatra (Jharkhand), Jul 20 (PTI) A member of a splinter group of the proscribed CPI (Maoist) has been arrested in Jharkhand’s Chatra district, police said on Monday.
According to Chatra Superintendent of Police (SP) Animesh Naithani, Naresh Ganjhu alias Ravikant Ji (35) was nabbed from Madhniya village on Sunday evening.
He said Ganjhu was wanted in several Maoist-related cases.
“An FIR was registered against him at the Balumath police station in connection with Maoist-related activities. He was absconding. A month ago, the Balumath police had pasted a legal notice at his residence in Lawalong,” the SP said. PTI COR SAN NSD
