Imphal, Sep 21 (PTI) Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh on Monday distributed offer forms to 93 candidates for appointment under the Die-in-Harness Scheme in the Land Resource Department, an official statement said.
Addressing the programme at the Civil Secretariat, Singh said recruitment under the scheme was being carried out in accordance with the prescribed rules and guidelines.
The state government had earlier distributed offer forms to 37 eligible candidates for appointment to the Excise Department under the same scheme, he said.
Singh expressed confidence that the appointment of the recruits would help the Land Resource Department clear its long-pending work and improve its functioning.
He said other government departments could also initiate recruitment under the scheme wherever required, in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
Offer forms were also distributed online to eligible candidates across various districts, the statement said.
