Latur, Oct 2 (PTI) A Latur court has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
Additional Sessions Judge SA Sayyed, in his order of Thursday, convicted Pawan Balasaheb Harbade, a resident of Nagzari, under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and also fined him Rs 5000.
As per the prosecution, Habade offered the girl a ride on his motorcycle, took her to his sister’s vacant house in Pune and sexually assaulted the child.
He was arrested by MIDC police station subsequently after the girl’s kin approached police on February 2 last year. PTI COR BNM
