Lucknow, Jul 3 (PTI) A 35-year-old man died after allegedly jumping from the eighth floor of an apartment in Lucknow, police said.

According to the police, the incident took place around 7 pm at Shalimar Gallant Apartment’s B Tower in the Vigyanpuri outpost area. A call alerted the police that Vivek Maheshwari, a resident, had jumped from the eighth floor of the apartment.

The police rushed to the spot and shifted Maheshwari to Bhau Rao Deoras Hospital in a critical condition, where doctors declared him dead, they said.

During the preliminary inquiry, employees working at Maheshwari’s residence told the police that he had been suffering from depression for a long time. PTI KIS MNK MNK
