Maha: Water stock in dams of Nashik down to 30 per cent

Nashik, May 26 (PTI) As temperatures soar in Maharashtra’s Nashik, the total water stock in dams in the district has declined to 30 per cent, an official said.

As per the information provided by the district irrigation department, the reservoirs in the district currently hold 19,522 million cubic feet (mcft) water stock.

The Gangapur dam, which supplies drinking water to Nashik city, has 2,329 mcft, while the smaller reservoirs in the group in all have 607 mcft, the official said.

The total water stock in the district, including in the big and small reservoirs, is at 19,522 mcft, which comes to 30 per cent, he said. PTI COR ARU ARU
