Lucknow Bar Association general secretary arrested in court bomb hurling case

Lucknow: Bar Association General Secretary Jitu Yadav along with a few others have been arrested in a case pertaining to hurling of a crude bomb at lawyer Sanjeev Lodhi’s chamber in a Lucknow court complex on Thursday.

The arrests of other accused have been made on the basis of footage from CCTV. According to Lucknow Police Commissionerate, the bomb was hurled to spread terror in the court complex.
Earlier on Thursday, a case had been registered in Wazirganj Police Station following the complaint filed by Sanjeev Lodhi. It had been registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 147 (rioting), 148 (Rioting, armed with a deadly weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly), 307 (attempt to murder), 3 and 4.

The incident that took place on Thursday left two people injured.
