Bulandshahr (UP), Mar 20 (PTI) The two drivers were killed after a truck and a tractor-trailer collided head on under Jahangirabad police station limits here on Friday, officials said.
According to police, a cement-laden tractor-trailer heading towards Bulandshahr, collided with a truck loaded with rice, coming from the opposite direction.
The tractor driver, identified as Girish (25), a resident of Sambhal district, succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a community health centre.
The truck driver, Mahendra (50), a resident of Bulandshahr, died while being shifted to a higher medical centre in Meerut, police said.
Jahangirabad police station in-charge Inspector Sanjesh Kumar said the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem, and investigation is underway too ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident. PTI COR CDN ARB ARB
