New Delhi, Jul 30 (PTI) An advocate has written to the principal district judges of the Tis Hazari and Karkardooma court complexes, highlighting persistent mobile network issues in the premises and seeking installation of signal-enhancing infrastructure to improve connectivity for lawyers, litigants and court staff.
In separate representations dated July 30, advocate Manish Jain said weak mobile signals inside various court buildings were causing difficulties in communication and affecting the functioning of court users.
The lawyer pointed out that the problem was being faced in the main buildings as well as the newer and annex blocks of the two court complexes.
According to the representations, poor network coverage often disrupts phone calls, internet access and digital communication, making it difficult for advocates to coordinate with clients, access case-related information and receive important updates during court proceedings.
Jain said litigants visiting the courts also face inconvenience as they are unable to contact family members, lawyers or other concerned persons due to weak signal strength inside the buildings.
The advocate urged the court administration to explore technical solutions, including the installation of signal enhancers, in-building network systems and high-output amplifiers to improve mobile connectivity within the complexes.
He emphasised that better network coverage had become essential in view of the increasing dependence on digital communication and online legal services.
The representations were addressed to the Principal District and Sessions Judges of Karkardooma Courts and Tis Hazari Courts. Copies were also marked to the respective administrative judges, IT cells and bar associations.
