Agraharam (Andhra Pradesh), April 10 (PTI) A 19 year-old student on Friday killed a minor girl who rejected his proposal for a relationship, police said.
The 17 year-old victim was home alone when the accused took advantage of the situation.
According to police, the accused, identified as Venkateswaralu, allegedly attacked the girl after learning that she was getting engaged.
“The minor girl was killed today after her throat was slit at her residence in Kadapa district,” Mydukur Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) G Rajendra Prasad told PTI.
The victim’s parents had gone to work in the agricultural fields.
The deceased was rushed to a hospital by her parents after neighbours alerted them, but she succumbed to injuries on the way.
