Jaipur, Apr 28 (PTI) Jaipur Municipal Corporation on Tuesday announced a campaign “Rang De Gulabi” to paint 500 walls across the city in a single day on May 2, officials said.

The campaign aims to enhance the city’s aesthetics while promoting public participation on a large scale.

JMC Commissioner Om Kasera said that the initiative will be a historic step for Jaipur.

“The corporation is focusing on making the city more vibrant and visually appealing,” he said.

He said that a target has been set to paint 500 walls in a single day, which will be a unique, community-driven effort.

“The campaign is not limited to the traditional pink colour associated with Jaipur, but seeks to beautify the city using a range of artistic and vibrant colours. Along with the iconic pink, creative designs and shades will be used to give different areas a distinct identity while reflecting the city’s cultural heritage in a modern form,” he said.

Schools, colleges, NGOs, private institutions, corporate groups and citizens have been invited to voluntarily participate in the campaign.

Individuals and organisations interested in providing painting services can contact the corporation on the designated phone numbers.

He said that the details of all 500 identified walls will be shared with the public before and after the painting to ensure transparency in the process. PTI SDA HIG HIG
