J-K Forticulture Department organises therapeutic visit for patients to Indira Gandhi tulip garden

Srinagar, Apr 6 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Floriculture Department and Goverment Medical College Srinagar on Monday organised a therapeutic visit for patients to Indira Gandhi memorial tulip garden here.

The visit was organised on the initiative of the director of floriculture in Kashmir, and involved coordinated efforts from GMC Srinagar and its associated hospitals, an official spokesperson said.

According to the spokesperson, the initiative aimed at promoting mental well-being, foster social interaction, and provide a rejuvenating experience in a serene natural environment.

The event focused on patient safety, structured movement, and supervised participation, with medical teams providing on-site supervision and emergency support, he said.

The visit was jointly coordinated by Dr Shiny Mohiudin and Dr Adil Fayaz (IMHANS), Kashmir and Altaf Ahmad, Assistant Floriculture Officer, who accompanied the group to ensure a comfortable and engaging experience.

The programme incorporated key technical components, including pre-visit health screening, deployment of medical teams, and preparedness for emergency medical support, the spokesperson added.
