New Delhi: The National Centre of Good Governance (NCGG) has announced a one-week capacity-building programme to support the civil servants of Bangladesh. This is part of the joint decision of the two countries to provide capacity-building support for 1500 civil servants over the next five years, a PIB press release stated.
The programme will be provided by NCGG in collaboration with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) of India. The joint decision was taken during an online meeting between the two countries on 16 May 2024. In this meeting, the participation of senior officials of the Ministry of Public Administration of Bangladesh and the National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) was taken.
It was agreed in the meeting that NCGG will provide a one-week capacity-building programme for senior civil servants of Bangladesh. In addition, two two-week capacity-building programmes will be provided for faculty members of BPATC, BCS Administration Academy, NAPD, and NADA of Bangladesh. The three programmes will be organized in the month of July and September 2024. NCGG will also hold an alumni meet of selected alumni from 71 capacity-building programmes for senior civil servants of Bangladesh.
This will help in facilitating the sharing of learning experiences. The DARPG has also decided to invite the awarded Bangladesh civil servants as speakers to the 27 National e-Governance Conference. This international conference will be held by the National Centre of Good Governance in India. The decision has been taken to strengthen the capacities of civil servants of both countries.
