India sends 90 tonnes of medicines to Cuba

As a gesture of friendship, the government of India has decided to send 90 tonnes of medicines to Cuba.
These medicines will be used by the Cuban Drug Manufacturers to produce essential antibiotics, a PIB press release stated.
The consignment of medicines consists of nine active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The medicine is expected to be used to treat chronic communicable diseases.
The sending of these medicines is a step in the right direction and reaffirms India’s status as the “Pharmacy of the World”.
