Gurugram: The Haryana government Thursday night transferred 24 IPS and five Haryana Police Service (HPS) officers across the state in a major shuffle that involves churn in the Gurugram police commissionerate and deployments to the Special Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Branch (SVACB).

The order, issued by the state Home Department and signed by Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal, was to take effect immediately.

The transfers come at a time when the state has uncovered frauds linked to government funds in banks.

Among the prominent movements, Nuh SP Rajesh Kumar was posted as SP of the State Crime Branch, and Dr Arpit Jain moves from DCP Headquarters Gurugram to fill the vacancy at Nuh.

Rohtak SP Surinder Boharia moves to SP (Law and Order) at the Police Headquarters, while Shashank Kumar Sawan, SP Hisar, comes in as assistant inspector general (administration) at police headquarters.

Three officers have been posted to the SVACB: Maqsood Ahmed, returning from leave, and Pooja Vashisth, SP Narnaul—both appointed to vacant posts—and Arsh Verma (IPS, 2017), SP Charkhi Dadri. Moving the other way, Medha Bhushan leaves the SVACB to take charge as DCP Sonipat.

Nitish Aggarwal, who held additional charge of SP Lokayukta while serving as ADC (aide-de-camp) to the Governor, has been posted as SP Palwal. Palwal SP Varun Singla moves to SP Security, CID, against a vacant post.

2018-batch IPS officer and Fatehabad SP Siddhant Jain goes to SP Hisar, with Nitika Khattar (IPS, 2018), SP Dabwali, stepping in as SP Fatehabad.

In Gurugram commissionerate, DCP (East Gurugram) Gaurav Rajpurohit moves to SP Rohtak.

Jasleen Kaur, DCP Jhajjar, goes to SP Dabwali. Deepak Jewaria, DCP Manesar, moves to SP Narnaul. Deepti Garg moves from Commandant, 4th Battalion IRB (Indian Reserve Battalion) Manesar, to DCP Jhajjar, while Prabina P. goes from DCP Sonipat to DCP Manesar, picking up the additional charge of Commandant, 4th IRB Manesar.

Logesh Kumar P. moves from DCP Jhajjar to SP Charkhi Dadri.

DCP (Traffic-Gurugram) Rajesh Kumar Mohan, also in-charge of MERC (Mirror Emergency Response System), has been posted as DCP Crime Faridabad, relieving Himadree Kaushik.

Prateek Gahlot, Additional SP (Kurukshetra), takes his place as DCP (Traffic-Gurugram) with in-charge MERC. Shubham Singh, DCP Jhajjar, takes over as DCP (Crime Jhajjar).

Sonakshi Singh, Additional SP Jind, becomes DCP Sonipat.

Uttam, Additional SP Hisar, moves to DCP NIT Faridabad, relieving Jaibir Singh (HPS) of that charge. Pratik Aggarwal, Additional SP Rohtak, goes to DCP Ballabhgarh against a vacant post.
