Government subsidizes natural farming for increased yield

Farmers to receive 1.5x subsidy for three years.

New Delhi: Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed “Regional Consultation Program on the Science of Natural Farming” today in Lucknow, where he stated that natural farming will increase the yield of fields without using any chemicals and fertilizers.

The government will provide a subsidy of 1.5 times to the farmers who adopt natural farming for three years. According to the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the yield of farmers’ fields will decrease in the first two years due to the switch to natural farming, due to which the government will provide subsidy.

To promote natural farming, the government will establish laboratories in the agricultural universities of the country. This will help in the research and study of natural farming methods. One crore farmers of the country will be made aware of natural farming so that they can spread it to every corner of the country.

He said that farmers will be able to get more money by selling natural grains, fruits, and vegetables.

This will help in the research and study of natural farming methods. He said that one crore farmers of the country will be made aware of natural farming so that they can spread it to every corner of the country. The central government will conduct a national awareness campaign in collaboration with all stakeholders to promote natural farming.
