New Delhi: Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched the “eShram – One Stop Solution” in New Delhi Monday. This initiative aims to provide seamless access to various social security schemes for unorganized workers registered on the eShram portal, a PIB press release stated.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the growing trust in the eShram portal, noting that approximately 60,000 to 90,000 workers register daily He emphasized that the eShram – One Stop Solution will simplify the registration process and connect workers with government benefits.
The platform currently integrates key welfare schemes like One Nation One Ration Card, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, National Social Assistance Programme, National Career Service, and Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan. More schemes are being integrated into the platform.
eShram, launched in August 2021, has registered over 30 crore unorganized workers. This initiative signifies a “whole of Government approach to improving the lives and well-being of unorganized workers in India.
