Good Friday observed in Thane: Christians take part in prayers, enactments depicting crucifixion

Thane, Apr 3 (PTI) Christians in Thane city marked Good Friday with devotion and solemnity, participating in processions, prayers and enactments depicting the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, church officials said.

Members of Our Lady of Mercy Church on Pokhran Road No. 2 staged a re-enactment of the Crucifixion, beginning from Little Flower School and proceeding through the locality, while a special mass and prayer session titled ‘The Eucharist: Love Poured Out in Service’ was held at St. John the Baptist Church.

Church authorities said the observances were carried out peacefully, with devotees coming together in large numbers to mark the occasion with faith and reverence. PTI COR BNM
