New Delhi: The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), taking place between 20 and 28 November in Panaji, Goa, will showcase the rich cultural diversity of India through a vibrant celebration of art, music, and cinema at IFFI. This event, being held at Kala Academy, Panaji, will feature performances by regional, traditional, and cultural troupes from across the country, highlighting India’s unique heritage, a PIB release stated.
A highlight of IFFI will be the “Celebrating the Joy of Cinema” carnival parade, featuring artistic floats and performances by local groups, reflecting the spirit of Goa. Cash prizes will be awarded to floats and performances that best embody the theme, encouraging innovation.
IFFI Goa is powered by District by Zomato, and will also offer a diverse lineup of live musical performances. The festival stage will host artists such as chart-topping vocalist Asees Kaur, hip-hop artist Paradox, indie-folk band When Chai Met Toast, and rock band The Yellow Diary. Emerging talents will also have their moment, with performances by singer-songwriter Anumita Nadesan, energetic act Chor Bazaar, Goan musician Reuben De Melo, DJ The Spindoctor and Tsumyoki, and modern beats by The Goa Trap Culture, the release added.
IFFI is aimed at bringing together art, community, and cinema, offering a unique experience for festival goers.
