New Delhi: Conquest, the flagship start-up accelerator of BITS Pilani, is helping drive the next wave of transformation in India—from deep-tech infrastructure to clean-label consumer products.
While traditional infrastructure gets a sustainable overhaul, a parallel revolution is underway in how Indians live, consume, and care for their health.
As the country demands faster, cleaner and more personalised solutions, these start-ups—across sectors like energy, mobility, hygiene, and packaging—are stepping up.
Whether it’s modular clean energy systems, biodegradable materials, or women’s health rooted in Indian science, the innovation is as bold as it is relevant.
Clean Infra: Building the backbone for a sustainable economy
Prayogik—Powering remote operations with clean energy
Prayogik is transforming remote energy infrastructure with its TMSG-DC system, a rugged, eco-friendly power unit designed specifically for the oil & gas sector. Capable of operating in extreme environments without moving parts, the system leverages thermoelectric, solar, and hydrogen fuel cell technology to deliver uninterrupted, 24×7 DC power. It eliminates the need for diesel generators, while offering real-time monitoring and zero maintenance, making it a game-changer for remote industrial sites.
Visron—Redefining precision farming with hydrogen-powered drones
Visron is ushering in a new era of sustainable agriculture with its hydrogen-powered drones. Unlike traditional battery-operated UAVs, these drones offer significantly longer flight times and faster coverage, making them ideal for tasks like crop monitoring, spraying and data analytics. The result is improved farm productivity with a reduced carbon footprint, helping farmers transition toward greener, more efficient agricultural practices.
TriNano Technologies—Unlocking the next era of solar efficiency
TriNano is solving one of the biggest problems with solar energy technology, dust and degradation through its nano-coatings technology. When applied to solar panels, the coatings reduce soiling, cut costs of maintenance, and improve energy output. TriNano has increased the operational life and efficiency of solar infrastructures, allowing large-scale farms, as well as small rooftop installations to produce greater levels of clean energy and less disruptions.
EVQ Technologies (Hopcharge)—Portable, grid-free charging for the EV Era
EVQ Technologies is resolving one of the most fundamentally critical constraints in India’s EV transition: the availability of charging infrastructure. EVQ’s mobile grid-independent EV chargers can take the power wherever needed, and never plug into the normal electricity grid. They can be put into urban hotspots or remote areas, and are used by fleet operators, public transit, events, etc. The EVQ charging units aim to bring ‘accessibility’ and ‘flexibility’ to charging EVs, and their business model facilitates India’s transition to electric mobility.
Consumer-first builders: Clean labels, green packaging, women’s wellness
Basil—Ultra-efficient green appliances for energy savings at scale
Basil is tackling India’s soaring energy demands with an innovative combination of ultra-efficient DC appliances and renewable energy integration. From air conditioners to pumps and freezers, Basil’s tech-first hardware eliminates inefficiencies seen in conventional AC-powered appliances. The result is over 70 percent energy savings across critical applications, like HVAC and water pumping. The start-up is also building a fully indigenous solution for EV motors and controllers—breaking away from import dependence. Recognised by several global sustainability bodies, Basil is building India’s green infrastructure from the ground up.
Avni—Science-backed, plastic-free wellness for women
Avni Wellness is redefining women’s hygiene and nutrition with a clean-label product range backed by science and built around Indian needs. Their flagship offerings include toxin-free menstrual and intimate care products—ranging from reusable cloth pads and period panties to chemical-free disposable napkins—all tailored for comfort, absorption, and long-term health. Going beyond hygiene, Avni is now expanding into functional snacks and nutrition made from Indian superfoods to tackle widespread micronutrient deficiencies. Their micro-entrepreneurship model empowers rural women to manufacture and distribute products, creating employment and awareness across the country. With design patents and growing consumer trust, Avni is building a modern wellness ecosystem, by women, for women.
Unbubble—Eco-friendly protective packaging that dissolves into nature
Unbubble is reinventing protective packaging with biodegradable, plant-based alternatives to traditional bubble wrap and thermocol. Using agricultural waste, they’ve developed sustainable materials, like water-soluble foam and compostable packaging peanuts that safeguard products without polluting the planet. Designed for both D2C brands and industrial shippers, Unbubble’s solution offers a scalable path to reducing plastic waste at the packaging level. With multiple innovation awards and three patents in the pipeline, this bootstrapped venture is leading India’s push toward planet-friendly logistics—one box at a time.
Why infrastructure-as-a-service and consumer-centric innovation matter now
As India moves toward a future powered by 5G, EVs, clean energy, and digitally conscious consumers, infrastructure and consumption habits must evolve together. Start-ups like Prayogik, Visron, TriNano, and EVQ are laying the physical rails of the clean economy, while those like Basil, Avni, and Unbubble are shaping a generation of mindful, sustainable consumption.
Conquest is supporting this dual transformation by backing early-stage founders building long-term, category-defining businesses.
The online phase of Conquest is currently in motion, featuring intensive mentorship and founder support. Up next is the offline week, where selected start-ups will come together for in-person sessions, culminating in Demo Day this August.
