Lucknow, Apr 5 (PTI) A man allegedly pulled out a pistol while being stuck in traffic here, police said on Sunday.

SHO Thakurganj police station Omveer Singh Chauhan on Sunday said that the incident took place at Rajjabganj Road in the Saadatganj police station area on Saturday.

The man has been identified as Sharafat Ali (40), an ex-Army man, a native of Hardoi, who is currently living in Lucknow, Chauhan said.

“Today, he was called to the police station, and he had given in writing that he had committed a mistake,” the SHO said.

In the letter, he mentioned that the pistol slipped from his pocket, and he held it, the SHO added. No case has been registered against Sharafat. PTI NAV HIG HIG
