New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared its Class 12 board results Thursday, revealing a pass percentage of 87.33 per cent from the 16.9 lakh students who had registered in 2023.
The results can be checked on the CBSE’s official site – cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in.
The CBSE held the Class 12 exams between 15 February and 5 April, 2023.
The Trivandrum region topped in 2023 with 99.91 per cent. The numbers also revealed that 90.68 per cent of girls have passed – outshining boys by 6.01 per cent.
The central board has not awarded first, second and third divisions to students, nor declared a merit list in order to avoid unhealthy competition.
Last year, the CBSE had conducted the exams in two terms – the first was held in November and December and the second in May and June. The overall pass percentage was 92.71 per cent.
In 2021, the exams were cancelled due to Covid, and a committee was formed to prepare the results which were declared on 30 July that year.
