Mumbai, Apr 2 (PTI) Some parts of Mumbai, especially the suburbs, experienced drizzle on Thursday, which an official said may have been caused by a western disturbance.

None of the observatories in the city recorded any rainfall activity, India Meteorological Department scientist Sushma Nair said.

“The drizzle could be due to a western disturbance,” she said.

The sky was partly cloudy in the evening.

The IMD had issued a weather alert to all districts in the state for Thursday other than Mumbai, Palghar, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur. It had issued a yellow alert with forecast of thunderstorm for neighbouring Thane and Raigad districts. PTI PR BNM
