New Delhi, Apr 21 (PTI) The Delhi Police on Tuesday concluded a two-day workshop aimed at preparing its retiring personnel for life after service, officials said.
The workshop, titled ‘Life After Retirement’, was organised by the Delhi Police Academy at the the headquarters, and saw participation from 709 personnel scheduled to retire between March and May.
Delhi Police Chief Satish Golchha attended the concluding session and emphasised the importance of financial preparedness and overall well-being after retirement.
“This phase brings a major transition in life. Personnel should remain physically active, mentally engaged and socially connected to ensure a fulfilling post-retirement life,” he said.
The workshop aimed to ensure a smooth transition for police personnel by equipping them with knowledge on financial planning, health management and new opportunities.
The sessions covered key aspects such as budgeting, disciplined investing, capital markets and investment avenues, including mutual funds, bonds and savings instruments. Experts also highlighted the risks of financial fraud, particularly targeting senior citizens. PTI BM PRK
