Delhi HC designates 85 lawyers as senior advocates

New Delhi, Jul 10 (PTI) The Delhi High Court on Friday designated 85 lawyers, including 11 women lawyers, as senior advocates.

The decision was taken in a resolution passed in a meeting of the full court held on Friday.

Out of the 85 names, eleven are women lawyers.

Advocates who have been designated include Amit Prasad, Sanjay Lao, Ankur Chhibber, Anupam S Sharma, Kanika Agnihotri, Pavan Duggal and Warisha Farasat.

Around 200 lawyers were assessed by the High Court’s Permanent Committee for conferring senior designation.

The committee included Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and the two senior-most judges, Justices V Kameswar Rao and Nitin W Sambre, along with Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma, senior advocate Sanjay Jain and Delhi High Court Bar Association President N Hariharan. PTI ADS APL APL
