New Delhi, Jul 30 (PTI) A Delhi court on Thursday cancelled a non-bailable warrant issued against SFI joint secretary Aishe Ghosh in a case pertaining to a protest staged outside the Banga Bhawan in 2021.
Judicial Magistrate Vijayshree Rathore cancelled the non-bailable warrant (NBW) after Ghosh appeared in court, subject to a fine of Rs 1,000, and posted the matter for further proceedings on November 21 On Wednesday, the court stayed the NBW issued against her after Ghosh’s counsel submitted that she could not appear on the last date of hearing due to “unavoidable circumstances”.
It also directed her to “appear in person” on Thursday.
The case pertains to an FIR registered against Ghosh at the Barakhamba Road police station in 2021 for a protest outside the Banga Bhawan.
