CPGRAMS report shows steady progress in resolving citizen complaints

According to the report, 2,32,885 grievances were redressed by central ministries and departments in August 2024.

New Delhi: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the 28th monthly report on the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) for August 2024. The report provides detailed information about the types and categories of public grievances and how they were disposed of, a PIB press release stated.

According to the report, 2,32,885 grievances were redressed by central ministries and departments in August 2024. This is the 26th consecutive month that the total number of grievances disposed of has crossed 1 lakh cases. The average grievance disposal time between January 1, 2024, and August 31, 2024, is 12 days.

The report also provides data regarding the new users who registered through the CPGRAMS Portal in August 2024. A total of 90,684 new users registered in the month of August 2024, with the maximum number of registrations from Assam (40,796). The Ministry/Department-wise analysis on the grievances registered through Common Service Centres (CSCs) in August 2024 has also been provided by the report. 39,276 grievances were registered through CSCs in the month of August, 2024.

The Feedback Call Centre collected 94,275 feedbacks in August 2024, out of which around 54 percent of the citizens expressed satisfaction with the resolution provided to their grievances. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Department of Posts, and Department of Rural Development are among the top performers in the Grievance Redressal Assessment & Index (GRAI) for August 2024.
