Panaji, Jul 3 (PTI) Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal arrived in Goa on Friday on a two-day visit.

The All India Congress Committee general secretary (organisation) was welcomed by AICC Goa desk in charge Manikrao Thakrey, co-in charge Dr Anjali Nimbalkar, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar and others at Manohar International Airport at Mopa.

Talking to reporters, Venugopal said he is in Goa for organisational purpose, though he did not elaborate.

He is expected to meet senior party leaders on Saturday at a resort near Panaji.

Venugopal would be ascertaining the political situation in the state, which will go to polls early next year, a party leader said. PTI RPS BNM
