New Delhi, Apr 3 (PTI) Delhi woke up to a dust storm and cloudy skies on Friday, with the weather office forecasting rain and thunderstorm.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees above the season’s normal, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum temperature is expected to touch 33 degrees Celsius.

Station-wise data showed that Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 20.6 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees above normal.

Lodhi Road recorded 21.1 degrees Celsius, 3.1 degrees above normal, while Ridge logged 20.6 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees above normal. Ayanagar recorded 21.8 degrees Celsius, 3.6 notches above normal.

The weather office has predicted thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds for Saturday.

On the air quality front, the AQI stood in the ‘poor’ category with a reading of 221 at 9 am.

According to the CPCB classification, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe’. PTI MSJ DV DV
