Panaji, Jul 20 (PTI) A candlelight march was held in Panaji in Goa on Monday in support of the Cockroach Janta Party’s stir in the national capital.

The participants, under the banner of NGO Uzvad, demanded the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for alleged irregularities in the education sector and exam paper leaks.

The candlelight march was held from Miramar beach to Azad Maidan here for “better India and better future of youth”, those who took part said.

Social activist Cecile Rodrigues, who was among those who spearheaded the protest, told reporters youth were brutally beaten up in Delhi and the echo of which is being heard in Goa.

“This protest is in support of CJP and Sonam Wangchuk, who was removed from Jantar Mantar by the government. The prime demand remains the resignation of Pradhan,” Rodrigues said. PTI RPS BNM
