Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Friday commended Border Security Force (BSF) jawans for their service in such scorching heat, saying it’s difficult to bear even for a few minutes.
Addressing the BSF Sainik Sammelan in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, Dhankar said the environment is all-around challenging, with no time to blink at the border.
From the high mountains of the Himalayas, the scorching desert of Thar, the dense forests of the Northeast, and the swampy Rann Creek, the alertness of the BSF jawans remains unmatched, he added.
The Vice President also paid tribute to the families of the soldiers, saying that they have also made sacrifices for the country.
“I salute those mothers who have given birth to brave sons and daughters like you and dedicated them to the service of the nation,” he said.
He said the BSF, the largest border guarding force in the world, ensures that every Indian lives fearlessly while working towards India’s all-round development.
