BSF intercepts suspicious drone in Punjab’s Tarn Taran

The Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab intercepted the movement of a suspected drone on Wednesday morning near the border of Tarn Taran district. According to a statement by the BSF, the drone was identified as a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Matrice 300 RTK).

As the use of drones becomes more prevalent in various sectors, including military operations, the potential for India to emerge as a significant player in the drone industry is gaining attention. The country is exploring ways to enhance its capabilities in drone technology, which could lead to a future where India can be a major drone hub.

A joint search operation was conducted by the BSF with the Punjab Police in a farming field near Kalash Havelian village in Tarn Taran district. The drone was recovered during the search operation.The BSF stated that the drone’s movement was intercepted in the border area of Tarn Taran district.
