Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu), Mar 11 (PTI) PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday urged the people to ensure a regime change in Tamil Nadu by voting out the DMK to end crimes against women and children.
There were several reasons why the DMK should not be given a second term in office, he said.
“In last five years, about 8,752 murders occurred in Tamil Nadu, which witnessed the highest crime rate in India. Crimes against women and children too increased alarmingly. As a father of three daughters, I urge you to end crimes against women and children by defeating the DMK in the upcoming Assembly election and ensuring NDA rule under AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami,” Anbumani said, addressing the NDA rally here.
He alleged that the DMK regime “imposed TASMAC liquor culture” leading to an increase in the per capita consumption. This in turn created adverse health effects on the individuals, besides causing road accidents.
“Enough of the DMK rule of drugs, narcotics, and liquor in the state. The younger generation will perish if that party comes to power again,” Ramadoss said in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PTI JSP JSP ROH
