Vijayawada, May 5 (PTI) A victory rally was held in Vijayawada under the leadership of Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav on Tuesday following the party’s victory in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry in the just concluded Assembly elections.

The rally began from Bhavanipuram, with several party leaders and cadres participating.

“People crowned the BJP with their trust in three states and ended rowdy governance in West Bengal,” said Madhav, noting the verdict is being celebrated nationwide.

He said the results reflect strong public backing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and governance model.

Madhav described the win in West Bengal as historic, recalling the state as the land of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, where the Jana Sangh began with one seat.

He said NDA governments in nearly 20 states under PM Modi’s leadership stand as proof of national development and governance.

Madhav highlighted BJP’s victories in Assam and Puducherry under Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership, calling them significant milestones.

He also claimed the results broke the perception that minorities do not support the BJP, citing victories in constituencies with substantial Muslim populations.

The BJP leader welcomed the electoral success of Vijay in Tamil Nadu, stating that people rejected the DMK government.

Madhav said the results in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal show voters favour honest and ethical leadership, while crediting leaders like Amit Shah and Sunil Bansal, along with party workers, for the success.

He alleged that during previous regimes in West Bengal, lawlessness, infiltration from Bangladesh, and violence against party workers were prevalent.

Madhav further claimed that growing public awareness, including among minorities, led to the BJP’s electoral gains in the state.

He said a high voter turnout reflected public resolve for change and expressed confidence that the BJP would provide stable governance.

In Kerala, he noted the BJP’s entry into the Assembly and said the party is expanding its base in the state. PTI MS ADB
