Patna, May 7 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday announced that the state government has approved 110 acres of land in Kishanganj district for the establishment of a Regional Training Centre (RTC) of the CISF.

The approved land lies in the Pothia circle of Kishanganj district.

“In an important decision aimed at continuously strengthening the security system of Bihar and the country, approval has been granted for the proposal to provide 110 acres of land in the Pothia circle of Kishanganj district to the Centre for establishing an RTC of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF),” he wrote on X.

The RTC will facilitate the training of 1,000 CISF personnel, he added.

The Bihar CM thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the decision to establish the RTC in the district.

“This significant decision will strengthen the security infrastructure of both the state and the country, while also creating new opportunities for local employment and development,” Choudhary said.

He directed officials to initiate the land acquisition process soon. PTI SUK RG
