Kolkata, Sep 15 (PTI) The Police Commissioner of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate Supratim Sarkar, where a missing complaint was lodged by the parents of two boys who were later found murdered, on Thursday was transferred to the Traffic department of the state police, an official order said.
Senior IPS officer Gaurav Sharma, presently serving as Police Commissioner of Siliguri will replace Sarkar as the new police chief of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.
Sarkar has been transferred as ADGP & IGP, Traffic and Road Safety, West Bengal.
Last week, the West Bengal government suspended the inspector in charge and another officer of Baguiati police station, where a missing complaint was lodged by the parents of two boys who were later found murdered.
Akhilesh Chaturvedi, the joint commissioner (establishment) of Kolkata police, will be the new police commissioner of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate.
Joyeeta Bose, Deputy Commissioner of the North Division of Kolkata Police will be the new Police Superintendent of Bongaon police district.
Tarun Haldar who is currently the SP of Bongaon police district will replace Bose as the new Deputy Commissioner of North Division of Kolkata Police, the order added. PTI PNT RG RG
