Bharat Parv celebrates Indian culture & cinema at 77th Cannes Film Festival

Bharat Parv celebration took centerstage at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, the grandest celebration of cinema, as more than 250 delegates attended the evening that showcased Indian culture, cuisine and cinema at the global platform, a PIB press release stated.

As part of the festival, a special event was organised by the NFDC in association with FICCI. The event was named ‘Bharat Parva’. The event was held at the French Riviera at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. The evening began with a speech by the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju. After that, renowned singer Shaan performed on some foot tapping Punjabi numbers. The act ended with the singers singing ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ with a rousing applause from the attendees.

The presence of actress Shobhita Dhulipala and renowned film critic Anupama Chopra added to the allure of the event. Their participation highlighted the rich tapestry of Indian cinema and its growing influence on the global stage.

It was a night to remember, filled with the celebration of film, culture, and artistic collaboration. Along with this, a poster for the 55th edition of IFFI was also unveiled. A message from the minister also urged the people to take cognizance of the various activities and events taking place at the Cannes Film Festival and take steps to promote them.
