Bhagwat walked through the exhibition, organized by members of the Jain community, at `Sparsh Nagri’ at the GMDC ground.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Sunday by Union Minister Amit Shah, organisers said.

Before visiting the exhibition, Bhagwat also met Ratnasundersurishwarji Maharaj.

On Sunday, Shah will also inaugurate a three-day de-addiction camp at the venue. As many as 15,000 youths are expected to take part in the camp, the organizers said.

“The Sparsh Mahotsav is being organised to mark the launch of the 400th book of Jainacharya Ratnasundersurishwarji Maharaj. The reverent saint has been penning books for the last 42 years. The book launch will be held on January 22,” event convener Kalpesh Shah said.

The exhibition will go on till January 26 and 30 lakh devotees from India and abroad are expected to visit it, he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited for the book launch, Shah added.

The book, titled “Sparsh,” will be simultaneously launched virtually in ten countries including Israel, USA, UK, Mauritius, Australia, Nigeria, Kenya and UAE.

The exhibition will feature a replica of the Girnar hill with Lord Neminath Temple, an art gallery, two theatres each with a capacity of 250 and a huge hall which can house 25,000 people during Ratnasundersurishwarji Maharaj’s discourse, Shah said.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will visit the exhibition on January 19. Union Minister Smriti Irani will participate in a ‘pravachan’ (discourse) for women devotees on January 20, Shah said.

On January 19, trustees of 250 gaushala (cow shelters) across the country will be handed over a cheque of Rs 5 crore, he said. PTI KA KRK KRK KRK
