New Delhi: A new Aviation Park, showcasing the history and evolution of Indian civil aviation, was inaugurated within the Ministry of Civil Aviation premises today. The park, situated around a serene waterbody, features a collection of aircraft models, symbolizing the sector’s progress and innovation, a PIB press release stated.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister of Civil Aviation. The park’s design incorporates free-standing architectural columns representing India’s diverse regions, highlighting the nation’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. A dedicated pathway narrates the milestones of India’s civil aviation history, from early flight developments to modern advancements, offering an educational experience for visitors.
Sustainability was a key factor in the park’s development, with the use of bamboo for shaded seating areas promoting eco-friendly construction practices.
Minister Naidu commended the collaborative efforts behind the project, stating that the Aviation Park stands as a testament to India’s growing influence in global aviation. The park is expected to become a landmark destination, inspiring future generations of aviation enthusiasts.
