Amaravati, Apr 21 (PTI) Retired IAS officer Anil Chandra Punetha assumed office as the SEC of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, an official said.
A Mallikarjuna, secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission, said Punetha has been appointed as the SEC for a period of five years from the date of assumption of office.
“Anil Chandra Punetha, IAS (Retd) has assumed office as the State Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh on 21st April, 2026,” Mallikarjuna said in an official release.
Punetha was appointed as the SEC on April 17 and he succeeded Nilam Sawhney, who had worked as chief secretary during the previous YSRCP government. PTI STH KH
