Bengaluru, Apr 3 (PTI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday night reached Bengaluru to take part in ‘Sant Samagam’ event on April 4, BJP sources said.
Shah reached Bengaluru by a special flight and would stay in a hotel in the city.
BJP state president B Y Vijayendra along with the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy and MP P C Mohan received Shah at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) airport.
“On Saturday he would attend ‘Sant Samagam’, a meeting of all the Hindu saints at Nagarur near Nelamangala,” a party office bearer told PTI.
He added that the event has been organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad under the aegis of Adi Chunchanagiri Math pontiff Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji.
This event is organised every year, the BJP leader said.
According to him, after attending the event, the minister would leave by the special aircraft. PTI GMS SA
