Bengaluru, Jun 19:(PTI) The Karnataka government has proposed to establish a grand B R Ambedkar Theme Park and Constitution Museum on Bangalore University’s Jnanabharathi campus, at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore.
The initiative aims to honour the life and legacy of the architect of the Indian Constitution while educating future generations about the values enshrined in it.
The idea was first mooted in the 2019-20 state budget, with an initial allocation of Rs 20 crore to set the project in motion.
The project gained significant momentum, during the 134th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr Ambedkar on April 14, 2025, when Chief Minister Siddaramaiah formally announced that the state government would establish the museum in Bengaluru. PTI GMS ROH
