New Delhi: An Air India flight from Delhi to San Francisco was diverted to Russia Tuesday due to a technical snag in one of its engines, the airlines said.

The flight landed safely in Magadan airport in Russia.

Flight AI173 was carrying 216 passengers and 16 crew members, a company spokesperson said. “The passengers are being provided with all support on ground and will be provided alternate options to reach their destination at the earliest.
