Medininagar, Jul 30 (PTI) Four people were arrested with contraband worth around Rs 25 lakh during separate operations in Jharkhand’s Palamu district, police said on Thursday.
In the first operation, officers seized 34 kg ganja worth nearly Rs 12.50 lakh stuffed in 45 plastic packets, after intercepting a vehicle in Satbarwa police station area, and arrested two persons, they said.
The contraband was being smuggled to Bihar from Odisha, a police officer said.
The arrested duo are residents of Rohtas district in Bihar.
In another operation, two persons were apprehended with 2.5 gm opium worth Rs 12 lakh from an area under Panki police station limits, the officer said.
