3 hurt as fire breaks out in Darul Uloom building in Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 10 (PTI) Two civilians and a fireman were injured after a fire broke out in a seminary here, officials said.

The fire broke out in a four-storey building of the Darul Uloom (an Islamic seminary) in the Hyderpora locality here in the evening, they said.

The officials said the attic and the fourth storey of the L-shaped building were engulfed in flames.

A fire-fighting operation was launched and after sustained efforts of the Fire and Emergency Services teams, the blaze was brought under control, the officials said.

Two civilians and a fireman were injured in the incident, they said, adding that the cause of the fire and the extent of damage to the property are yet to be ascertained. PTI SSB RC
