Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, will soon complete four years in office. He claims that during his tenure, Kashmir “has changed”.
In an exclusive interview with ThePrint in 2021, the governor had said that stone-pelting Fridays were “history” and highlighted the launch of numerous developmental projects. He had also noted a decline in unemployment rates and a growing interest from investors in large-scale ventures.
ThePrint caught up with Sinha again at his residence in Kashmir — the Raj Bhawan — where he leads a simple life. He begins his day with a four-kilometre morning walk, followed by morning prayers, offered at the temple he has set up in the corner of a room that doubles as a gym. As part of his routine, he also offers water to the Sun.
He then dresses in traditional dhoti and kurta before heading to the secretariat.
ThePrint’s national photo editor, Praveen Jain, captures Sinha’s daily routine at the Raj Bhawan.
