Meerut: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said that the BJP wants to make a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and his government “has already started preparations for a third term” in power. He was addressing a rally in Meerut, his first in Uttar Pradesh since the announcement of the Lok Sabha election dates.
“We are making a roadmap for the coming five years. Work is going on rapidly on what major decisions we have to take in the first 100 days. In the last 10 years, you have seen only a trailer of development, now we have to take the country much further,” he further said.
Also in attendance were Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his Haryana counterpart Nayab Singh Saini along with veteran actor Arun Govil who became a household name after his portrayal of Ram in the iconic TV serial Ramayan, and is the BJP candidate for the Meerut Lok Sabha seat. Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chaudhary, who recently joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, was also present.
