New Delhi: Come 18 November, Sharad Arvind Bobde will take oath as the 47th Chief Justice of India.

Born in Nagpur, 63-year-old Bobde is the second senior-most judge of the Supreme Court. From 18 November will begin his 18-month tenure as CJI before he retires on 23 April 2021.

With a week to go before his swearing-in next Monday, ThePrint’s Praveen Jain captures Justice Bobde in a candid mood, sans his black robes.
