New Delhi: Atif Aslam is pushing his boundaries in his reel avatar and it’s the Pakistani content creators and influencers who are feeling the heat. The Doorie singer has dropped two reels on his Insta account and Pakistanis are already saying the GOAT is here.

Fans have declared him ‘the best content creator’.

“Sir aap apney reels era main kab se? (Sir, when did you enter the reels era?)” Spotify Pakistan asked.

The singer hopped on the reels trend on Wednesday—a sad Atif Aslam, sitting outside the pathway of a brightly lit house wrote, “She had promised to die before getting married to someone else”. With his viral 2006 song Tere Bin playing in the background, he captioned it, “No one is safe this Valentine’s day”. The reel has more than one million views.

“Rip to all the instagrammers and tiktokers when GOAT Atif puts his original content,” Faaiz Shah wrote on Instagram.

With the ICC Champions Trophy just around the corner, Aslam, who is also the voice behind the official anthem for the tournament, made yet another reel on Thursday. The song this time was Tera Hone Laga Hun. The singer is seen flexing his imaginary bat—a bid to capture the ‘boys mood after hitting that one shot’. The caption read, “Cricket fever is here and everyone has it”.

Pakistani content creators are loving it but are also feeling threatened: “Is line mai bhi aagayai aaap? Hum bistar baand lain phir” (you are in this profession as well? Should we then pack our bags),” Farhan Ullah Aziz, a content creator wrote.

“Here for atif aslam’s meme era,” another creator, Waliya Najib, commented

Many refused to believe that it was actually the singer and suspected if it was a look-alike.

“Aap Atif Aslam ke lookalike ho,” wrote Aarij Ali, while another said, “I’m going to tag Atif and let him know”.

Other concerned cricket fans have suggestions, on priority: “Babar ki jaaga py Atifaslam ko rakhy lo team mai (keep Atif Aslam in the team instead of Babar),” Instagram user Laiba wrote.
