New Delhi: YouTuber Anurag Dobhal, popularly known as UK07 Rider, and a former Bigg Boss contestant, is currently recovering after he livestreamed his car crash near Dasna, Ghaziabad, on Friday, days after alleging mental harassment and torture by his family over his intercaste marriage.
During his Instagram live, Dobhal, who was driving his Toyota Fortuner SUV on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, told viewers he felt completely alone and had no one left to call and had decided to kill himself. He then showed his speedometer to the 80,000 viewers watching; it was at 140-150 kmph. The YouTuber is currently undergoing treatment at Subharti Hospital in Meerut.
In an Instagram story on Sunday, his wife Ritika Chauhan assured his fans that Dobhal was recovering.
“Anurag is doing fine. He did sustain some injuries, but he’s strong and will recover soon. Right now, it is a critical time for us, and we kindly request everyone not to spread any rumours or misinformation. What we truly need at this moment is all your prayers, support, and positive thoughts for him. Thank you for standing with us,” wrote Chauhan.
Dobhal’s manager, Rohit Panday, has also been sharing updates via his Instagram page.
“Had a conversation with Anurag bhai before he was taken to OT. He is in OT for treatment of his fractures. As I said earlier as well, please do not make assumptions and believe rumours,” wrote Panday.
The first video
Dobhal creates content focused on motorcycles, road trips, lifestyle and travel experiences. He has 7.8 million followers on Instagram and over 8 million on YouTube. He was also one of the contestants in Bigg Boss 17.
On 5 March, he made a two-hour-long vlog, alleging mental harassment and torture by his family, including his parents and siblings.
He claimed that they were against his inter-caste marriage and did not allow his wife to enter the house. Dobhal got married to Chauhan last May. They announced their first pregnancy in September.
“They [parents and siblings] are responsible for my death… I don’t understand how to eliminate this feeling. After this video, maybe I will disappear. I just want to sleep. I haven’t eaten anything for five days; my mind feels completely exhausted,” said Dobhal in the video, which has now been removed from his YouTube channel.
He alleged that, just six days before his wedding, his parents refused to attend, leaving him to manage the entire ceremony alone. He said, “I was made to fold my hands and beg, made to touch their feet. I was forced to apologise in front of all the relatives. Dad and Mum tortured me to the extent that they said, ‘We will neither stay happy ourselves nor let you stay happy’,” said Dobhal.
He added that Chauhan, too, left the house after being ‘influenced’ by others. The couple was living with Dobhal’s parents.

The other side
Dobhal’s brother Kalam shared his own version of the story. On his Instagram page, Kalam shared that his brother’s first video was made purely for views. “Posting proofs here, kyunki [because] I am not a vlogger. Sab sunke bhi [Even after hearing all this] if you still support him, I think you need some maturity,” wrote Kalam.
He shared a series of ‘proofs’ in the form of videos and screenshots to show that it was Dobhal’s own actions, of allegedly hitting his wife, that led to Ritika leaving him.
Meanwhile, a Hindi declaration allegedly by Dobhal’s father, disowning his son and Ritika, is also being shared online. “I hereby disinherit my son Anurag Dobhal and my daughter-in-law, Ritika Chauhan Dobhal from my wealth and assets. They will be solely responsible for any future financial loans taken by them,” it reads.
Dobhal’s fellow Bigg Boss contestant Mannara Chopra shared a series of video stories on her Instagram in support of the injured YouTuber.
“He had fought a lot in the Bigg Boss house to talk to his parents, sister, and future wife; he had even taken her name,” said Chopra.
She also had a message for Dobhal’s parents. “What is money? If you don’t have your loved one anymore, what will you do with that money? I just want to ask his family–what will you do with that money?”
